Prof. Dr. Jörg Biesemann

Prof. Dr. Jörg Biesemann is an Associate Partner at Board Partners and supports executive search projects in the areas of supply chain, logistics and production. Since 2016, Jörg Biesemann has been a management consultant, interim manager and associate professor for SCM, logistics and produc-tion at the University of Osnabrück, the Technical University of Berlin, Hefei University in China and Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg. He is currently supporting the optimisation of all SCM processes as Global SCM Interim Manager at the Huf Automotive Group, among others.

In global projects in Asia and Mexico, among others, he was also responsible as a management consultant for Valeo Siemens eAutomotive for the reorganisation of the supply chain organisation and there for the converter production of the customer VW ID 3 E Mobil and is thus familiar in depth and breadth with the eAutomotive topics of the future. As a consultant, he has also rebuilt the plant in Portugal for QM and audit process safety for Sodecia Automotive. As a consultant for Modine Europe supplier development, he was responsible for VDA audits in Japan, China and Taiwan.

He was previously Vice President Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Michelin Group, France until 2016, where he was responsible for global logistics transformation. Before that, he had worked for eleven years in global management functions within Siemens VDO Automotive AG/Continental AG. He was head of the transformation team for production for the customers BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen and Opel navigation systems. In 2003, Jörg Biesemann took over as Vice President of the Logistics Business Unit Infotainment & Connectivity Systems. As CFO of the Siemens VDO Info-tainment & Connectivity Business Unit for the Asian business, he worked from Singapore and then became the Asia/Pacific boss for the automotive logistics business out of Shanghai.

The foundations for his international experience in Europe, Asia and the USA with several years of management activities and active networks were laid in the years 1990 -2000, before his time with the VDO Group. During this time, Jörg Biesemann lived in Detroit, USA, and as Director of Production Control and Logistics at the Delphi Automotive Systems Group in the USA, he was responsible for shaping the future of logistics chains worldwide. In 2001, Jörg Biesemann took over the ‘Project Manager Car Distribution/Spare Parts VW/GM China’ position at SAIC Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation and TPG Group Amsterdam and also lived in Shanghai during this time. After his studies in economics and subsequent doctorate at the universities of Bochum and Münster, he was first Assistant to the CEO at Friedrich Krupp GmbH, where he was responsible for planning the Merger & Acquisition Task Force.
